FIB USU Professor Jonner Hasugian Serves as Speaker at Textbook and Book Chapter Writing Workshop The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), contributed to improving the quality of higher education through the participation of Prof. Dr. Drs. Jonner Hasugian, M.Si., as a speaker at the Textbook and Book Chapter Writing Workshop, organized by USU’s Directorate of Innovation, Educational Digitalization, and Learning Development (DITP3I) on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, via Zoom Meeting. Under the theme “Strategies and Techniques for Writing High-Quality Books to Support Higher Education Learning,” the workshop aimed to enhance lecturers’ competencies in producing quality textbooks and book chapters to support the teaching and learning process in higher education. 07 October 2026

FIB USU and the Ministry of Culture Promote Heroism and Historical Awareness Among Young People Through the Film “Djamin Setia Selamanya” The interactive dialogue and film screening of Djamin Setia Selamanya served as an educational platform to instill patriotism, courage, sacrifice, and leadership values among young people. Through collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Culture and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), the film is expected to become an inspiring and informative medium for historical learning grounded in academic research and historical accuracy. 07 October 2026

FIB USU Holds Bugaria Exercise Session to Promote a Healthy Lifestyle and Togetherness The Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), held a Bugaria Exercise Session in the spirit of “FIB Fit, FIB Cheerful: Make a Healthy Lifestyle a Habit for a Strong Team.” The activity was part of efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle while strengthening togetherness among the FIB USU academic community. 02 October 2026

FIB USU Participates in the 2026 Commemoration Ceremony of Pancasila Sanctity Day The Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), participated in the Pancasila Sanctity Day Commemoration Ceremony on Thursday, 1 October 2026, at the USU Rectorate Bureau Field. FIB USU Supports Foreign Lecturer’s Mobility by Providing a Bicycle to Facilitate Teaching Activities The Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), has provided a new bicycle to Li Laoshi, a foreign lecturer, to facilitate mobility in carrying out teaching activities. The support was provided on Thursday, 1 October 2026, at the FIB USU Dean’s Office. This initiative is expected to facilitate academic activities while strengthening cooperation between FIB USU and Jinan University, China. 01 October 2026

FIB USU History Program Holds Book Discussion on “Rumah dengan Pintu Biru: Sebuah Memoar Tari Lang” The Undergraduate History Program at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a book discussion on Rumah dengan Pintu Biru: Sebuah Memoar by Tari Lang. Featuring the author and prominent scholars as discussants, the event provided an academic forum to broaden literacy, foster critical thinking, and explore the relationship between memory, personal experience, and history. 29 September 2026

FIB USU and LPP RRI Strengthen Collaboration through MoA and IA Signing, Followed by Novel Discussion The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), and the Public Broadcasting Institution Radio Republik Indonesia (LPP RRI) strengthened their institutional collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and an Implementation Agreement (IA), followed by a novel discussion. The activities provided a platform for literacy development, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of academic culture. 28 September 2026
