The speaker explained that FIBAA's main focus is in the fields of law, management, economics, social sciences and other related sciences. Applications for accreditation can be carried out in clusters and visits can also be carried out in clusters. The procedural steps taken include preparatory discussions between study programs applying for international accreditation, preparation of a Self Evaluation Report, Contract agreement with FIBAA, Site visit, Assessment Report and Final Accreditation Certification.
FIB USU PR - On August 10 2023, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) held a Self Evaluation Report (SER) Preparation activity by inviting a resource person who was the Chair of the History Department of FIB Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) Dr. Dhanang Respati Puguh, M. Hum. This activity was attended by the Dean, Vice Dean I, II, III, all Chairs and Secretaries of Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral Study Programs as well as FIB USU lecturers.
This activity began with a report from the Chair of the Committee, namely Vice Dean I Prof. Drs. Mauly Purba, M.A., Ph.D. He said that the preparation of a Self Evaluation Report is important to complete the documents required for the International accreditation assessment in 2024. The Academic Sector continues to strive to provide enlightenment to Study Programs and Lecturers so that they can complete the documents required for International Accreditation.
After the report from the Chair of the Committee, it was followed by remarks from the Dean of FIB USU Prof. Dr. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. She said that in order to realize the ideals of higher education we must make changes in performance assessment which is assessed using Main Work Indicators. USU's Performance Contract with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology implements the IKU 8 program, namely an internationally accredited study program. The Universitas Sumatra Utara has determined 5 (five) study programs from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences to be included in the FIBAA International Accreditation Institute.
The activity continued with the presentation of material by Dr. Dhanang Respati Puguh, M. Hum. with moderator Dr. Tasnim Lubis, M. Hum.
