FIB USU PUBLIC RELATIONS – On Monday, September 7, 2026, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), strengthened its cooperation network with the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS) North Sumatra through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementation Agreement (IA). The activity was held in the FIB USU Meeting Room.
The signing of the MoA and IA was a strategic step in building synergy between higher education institutions and civil society organizations, particularly in supporting academic activities and developing the capacity of the academic community.
The cooperation between FIB USU and KontraS North Sumatra is expected to open opportunities for collaboration in various activities, including education, research, community service, academic discussions, human rights literacy development, and other activities relevant to academic disciplines and community needs.
Through this cooperation, students and the FIB USU academic community are expected to have opportunities to broaden their perspectives through experiences and insights from civil society organizations. This collaboration can also serve as a means of connecting academic knowledge with various social and humanitarian issues developing in society.
The signing of the MoA and IA also reflects FIB USU’s commitment to expanding partnerships with various stakeholders. Collaboration between higher education institutions and civil society organizations is an important part of creating an educational ecosystem that is responsive to social, humanitarian, cultural, and human rights issues.
With the signing of the MoA and IA, FIB USU and KontraS North Sumatra are expected to implement various cooperation programs sustainably and make positive contributions to the development of education, research, and community service.
