FIB USU PR - On Friday, September 12, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities (FIB) of the University of North Sumatra (USU) held the Closing Ceremony of Student Internship Programs (FISIP) for students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) at five partner institutions. The event began on Monday, July 21, 2025, and ended on September 11, 2025. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Dardanila, M.Hum., representing the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Dra. Mardiah Mawar Kembaren, M.A., Ph.D., the Student Industrial Internship Supervisor (DPL), and Encik Che Abdullah Che Ya (Student and Alumni Affairs) of the FSSK UKM in the FIB USU Meeting Room.

Dra. Mardiah Mawar Kembaren, M.A., Ph.D. (The PIC of the student industrial internship) conveyed that the two-month fieldwork for UKM students has concluded. We, as PICs, are very proud that throughout the fieldwork, the UKM students experienced no shortcomings, not even in terms of academics.

We hope this collaboration is beneficial for both parties and will help us achieve our shared goal of advancing knowledge in the fields of science, social sciences, and humanity.

Prof. Dr. Dardanila, M.Hum., representing the Dean of FIB USU, expressed her hope that the knowledge gained during the internship with various FIB partners will be utilized in efforts to develop knowledge and develop skills and attitudes through sound learning, building a foundation of identity to strengthen academic competence. She also expressed her hope that the staff at the FSSK UKM student internship sites have transferred their knowledge, thus gaining knowledge and experience and enhancing their understanding of skills in their respective fields. Furthermore, they have implemented discipline and are also able to interact with the work culture and organizations in Medan. And UKM students have also applied the knowledge they gained during their studies at UKM to help share their experience with partners in Medan.
