FIB USU PR - On Monday, March 2, 2026, the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (BEM FIB USU), officially inaugurated its new management for the 2026–2027 period in a ceremony held at the Multipurpose Hall of FIB USU. The inauguration marked the continuation of student leadership through the newly formed cabinet named the Adhirajasa Cabinet.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Zulfan Lubis, M.Hum., Advisor for Student Affairs, and Dr. Windi Chaldun, M.Hum., Advisor for Academic Affairs, as well as representatives of Student Associations (HMJ) within FIB USU. Representatives from external student organizations, including PMII USU, HMI FIB Commissariat, and KAMMI Merah Putih, were also present, along with FIB USU students who witnessed the oath-taking of the new board members.
The inauguration ceremony was conducted in a solemn atmosphere and became an important moment in ensuring the continuity of student leadership within FIB USU. The change of management is not merely an annual ceremonial event, but also the beginning of new responsibilities for the newly appointed board in carrying out organizational functions in an active, aspirational, and responsible manner.
During the introduction session, the Chairman of BEM FIB USU for the 2026–2027 period, Rifki Amansyah Siregar, expressed his commitment to building a management that is open to student aspirations and strengthening communication between the board and students.
“It is important for us to build two-way communication between the board and students so that the organization does not run exclusively. BEM must be present as a real representation of the needs of FIB students,” he stated.
He also explained that the name Adhirajasa represents the spirit of responsible leadership and the courage to take steps for the advancement of students.
“We interpret Adhirajasa as the spirit of leadership that is responsible and courageous in taking steps for student progress. This name serves as a reminder for us to remain consistent in carrying out our mandate,” he added.
In its organizational structure, the Adhirajasa Cabinet established several main divisions to support the implementation of its work programs, including human resource development, student advocacy and welfare, communication and information, talent and interest development, and community service. This structure is expected to ensure that programs are carried out in a more structured, directed, and sustainable manner.
For the upcoming period, BEM FIB USU plans to implement various programs focusing on strengthening student aspirations, academic development, social activities, and enhancing collaboration among student organizations within the faculty.
Through this inauguration, the Adhirajasa Cabinet is expected to carry out its mandate responsibly and to present leadership that is transparent, participatory, and oriented toward the needs of FIB USU students.
