Quoted from Analisadaily.com, Preparing for international accreditation, the Indonesian Literature Study Program (Prodi) Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) is holding course module training for lecturers in the Indonesian Literature Study Program. The activity, which was held for three days, Wednesday-Friday (21-23/2/2024) at USU's Wisma, Berastagi, presented as speakers USU LINK-UP Secretary Ely Hayati Nasution, S.S., M.Si.
Chair of the FIB USU's Indonesian Literature Study Program, Dr. Dwi Widayati, M.Hum., when opening the event said that this module training activity was in line with preparations for international accreditation which was adjusted to FIBAA Accreditation. Therefore, the theme raised in the training was "OBE-Based Course Module Writing: FIB USU's Indonesian Literature Study Program for FIBAA Accreditation".
"It is hoped that the training activities will be able to help lecturers to prepare modules for their courses. Apart from compiling the module, the lecturers also discussed the preparation of the OBE Semester Learning Plan (RPS) which will support the creation of the module," said Dr. Dwi Widayati, who on this occasion was also accompanied by the Secretary of the FIB USU's Indonesian Literature Study Program, Dra. Nurhayati Harahap, M. Hum.
USU LINK-UP Secretary Ely Hayati Nasution, S.S., M.Si., in his presentation of the material, explained, among other things, the procedures for writing modules and changing the OBE RPS appropriately so that they are in line with the preparation of the module. "For the outline and contents of the module, lecturers can use free applications such as Canva. "The aim is to facilitate the preparation of the desired module design and assessment process," she said.
Making good modules, she added, will help lecturers in delivering courses. Complete modules will also make it easier for students to absorb the material taught. The Indonesian Literature Study Program lecturers seemed very enthusiastic about taking part in the module preparation training, several courses had also been prepared for the OBE RPS and then continued with module preparation and design making practices using the Canva application and so on.
