The workshop on the preparation of accreditation documents on the first day discussed the presentation of the preparation of SER and FIBAA Appendices and the OBE Curriculum Review for each Study Program. Chapter 1 discusses the qualification objectives of the study program and relates them to the aspired qualifications, as well as the requirements of the national qualifications framework (academic proficiency, comprehensive employability, and personality development of each student). Chapter 1 also discusses the international orientation of study program design (language of instruction, courses, workshops/seminars, mobility schemes, joint programs), and so on.
FIB USU PR - On Monday - Thursday, January 15 - 18, 2024, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) together with the USU Quality Assurance Agency (BPM) held a Workshop on the Preparation of Self Evaluation Report (SER) Accreditation Documents at the International Accreditation Agency FIBAA Cluster 4 and 5 in preparation for International Accreditation Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).
The workshop on the preparation of accreditation documents was held at Mikie Holiday Resort & Hotel which invited speakers from outside the campus, namely Mardhayu Wulan Sari, S.Hum., M.A. from Airlangga University, and Prihantoro, S.S., M.A., Ph.D. from Padjajaran University. The workshop was attended by the Dean of FIB USU, Cluster 4 members namely the Head and Secretary of the English Literature Study Program, Head and Secretary Arabic Literature, Cluster 5 members namely Head and Secretary Indonesian Literature, Head and Secretary Malay Literature, Head and Secretary Mandarin Language along with lecturers and education staff, and Dr. dr. Isti Ilmiati Fujiati, M.Sc., CM-FM., M.Pd.Ked., Farida Linda Sari Siregar S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., and Dr. Ing. Ir. Ikhwansyah Isranuri from BPM USU.
On the first day, the Workshop on the preparation of accreditation documents was officially opened by the Vice Rector I of USU represented by Dr. Muhammad Anggia Muchtar S.T., MM.IT. and Dean of FIB USU Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. Cluster 4 and 5 were in different rooms. Prihantoro, S.S., M.A., Ph.D. was the resource person for Cluster 4 with moderator Dr. Zulfan S.S., M.Hum., while Mardhayu Wulan Sari, S.Hum., M.A. was the resource person for Cluster 5 with moderator Vivi Adryani Nasution S.S., MTCSOL.
The workshop on the preparation of accreditation documents on the first day discussed the presentation of the preparation of SER and FIBAA Appendices and the OBE Curriculum Review for each Study Program. On the second day, the workshop on preparing accreditation documents discussed Chapter 2, namely admission requirements (admission guidelines from DIKTI and the Ministry, how to access information, entry points), transparency and documentation of admission procedures and decisions, and so on. Then proceed with Chapter 3, namely the content, structure and didactic concepts of the program (Logical and conceptual coherence, Modular structure of study programs, Course materials, Guest Lecture, International content and intercultural aspects, Multidisciplinary competencies and skills, and so on). The same day also continued to discuss Chapter 4, which is about the academic environment and the framework's state (The faculty's structure and quantity in relation to curriculum requirements, program management, cooperation and partnerships, facilities and equipment, and so on).
On the third day, the workshop on the preparation of accreditation documents discussed Chapter 5, which is about quality assurance and quality development in relation to content, processes, outcomes, quality assurance instruments, program documentation, and so on. After discussing the entire chapter, discuss the appendices (Organizational structure, statistical data, admission process, guidelines, module descriptions, regulations, and so on). At the end of the Workshop, Finalization was done in the Preparation of FIBAA SER and Appendices.
The workshop was closed by the Dean of FIB USU Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. by emphasizing that this workshop must be carried out concretely in order to realize the acquisition of international accreditation in FIB USU. It is expected that in 2025 other study programs such as the Batak literature study program, and superior study programs such as ethnomusicology and library and information science can participate in preparing international accreditation documents.
