FIB USU PR - On Friday, September 1 2023, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) welcomed guests from SMAS IT Al-Fityan Medan. The purpose of SMAS IT Al-Fityan's visit to FIB USU was in the context of Student Scientific Reasoning and Research Institute (LEPPIS) / Study Tour activities. SMAS IT Al-Fityan Medan visited FIB USU to listen to guidance, receive motivation, and raise the students' confidence to continue their education at university.

There were several activities carried out in this activity, namely, introductions from both parties between FIB USU and SMAS IT Al-Fityan Medan. The first remarks from FIB USU were by the Dean of FIB USU, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. who was represented by Vice Dean III FIB USU, Mr. Mhd. Pujiono S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D. Next, Mr. Fauzul gave remarks from SMAS IT Al-Fityan Medan.

FIB USU consists of 15 (fifteen) Study Programs, namely 10 (ten) Undergraduate Study Programs, (Arabic Literature, Indonesian Literature, English Literature, Malay Literature, Japanese Literature, Chinese Language, Batak Literature, Historical Sciences, Ethnomusicology, Library and Information Science). Next are 4 (four) Masters Study Programs, (Master's in English, Master's in History, Master's in Art Creation and Studies, Master's in Linguistics) and 1 (one) Doctoral Study Program (S3 Linguistics).

The visit ended with the presentation of souvenirs by both parties, namely the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) USU and SMAS IT Al-Fityan Medan accompanied by a group photo.
