FIB USU PR - On February 9-10, 2023, the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) held a visit to SMA Negeri 1 Sei Suka Bara. The purpose of this visit is to provide socialization about study programs within the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya as well as the implementation of cooperation between the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya and SMA Negeri 1 Sei Suka in the form of community service carried out by the Ethnomusicology Study Program.
The event was opened with a welcoming dance of Setepak Sirih, then continued with a speech by the Vice Principal of Student Affairs (Mr. Sulaiman, Spd.I). The event continued with a speech by the Dean of the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (Mrs. Dr. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A), and continued with remarks from representatives of the Ethnomusicology Study Program (Mrs. Arifninterirosa, SST., M.A). After giving the opening remarks, the event continued with the screening of the profile video of the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya and the provision of material presented directly by the Dean of the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (Mrs. Dr. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A), Vice Dean II (Mrs. Dra. Heristina Dewi, M.Pd), and Vice Dean III (Mr. Mhd. Pujiono, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D), while the content of the presentation was an explanation of the study programs within the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya as well as the prospects for graduate students Faculty of Humanities.
The event continued with a banquet provided by SMA Negeri 1 Sei Suka. After the ISOMA break, the event continued with the Sabe-sabe Dance Training Workshop which is a form of Community Service conducted by the Ethnomusicology Study Program. The Sabe-sabe Dance Training Workshop was attended by approximately 60 students from SMA Negeri 1 Sei Suka. The training was given directly by the Lecturers of the Ethnomusicology Study Program (Mrs. Arifninetrirosa, SST., M.A and Mrs. Dra. Heristina Dewi, M.Pd). During the training activities, students seemed enthusiastic in participating in the training. The event was closed with a warm welcome between representatives of the Fakultas Ilmu Budaya with teachers and students from SMA N 1 Sei Suka.
