FIB USU PR - Friday, May 4th 2024, the Arabic Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) carried out training to improve Communicative Arabic Language Teaching Methods for Arabic Language Teachers in Medan for 2 (two) days, Thursday & Friday, 3-4 May 2024, from 08.00 to 17.30 WIB for the first day of training and 08.00 to 12.00 WIB for the second day. The training activities took place in the 2nd Floor Hall of the Miftahussalam Islamic Education Foundation, Jl. Darussalam No. 26 ABC Medan.
This training activity was opened directly by the Head of Education 1 of the Miftahussalam Education Foundation; Prof. Abdul Mukti, M.A. In his speech, he appreciated the activities carried out by the Arabic Literature Study Program and advised that this activity could increase the motivation of Arabic language teachers to be able to apply and develop more communicative teaching methods for students, it is hoped that learning can run more smoothly. pleasant.
Head of the Arabic Literature Study Program; Dr. Nursukma Suri, M.Ag. also gave opening remarks as well as officially opening this activity. After the welcoming speech and group photo session, then through the intermediary of the Presenter, the first resource person for the training (Prof. Dr. Khairina Nasution, M.S.) began to explain the material in Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) session-1. This activity was attended by approximately 20 participants consisting of Arabic language teachers around the city of Medan, a committee consisting of lecturers and teachers from the Arabic Literature Study Program and assisted by students.
In this internal training activity, the FIB USU Arabic Literature Study Program appointed 3 (three) resource persons from the Arabic Literature Study Program, namely; Prof. Dr. Khairina Nasution, M.S., Dr. Fatimatuzzahra Nasution, S.S., M.Si and Dr. Rahimah, M.Ag. This training is a very important activity for the Arabic Literature Study Program to provide understanding and increase insight into how to improve the quality of learning for Arabic language teachers in the city of Medan. Through this activity, there will be a positive impact on the study program, namely increasing the competence of lecturers in realizing the vision and mission of the study program, faculty and university.
