FIB USU PR - On Friday, February 16, 2024, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) signed the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Department of Business Administration of Politeknik Negeri Medan (Polmed) in the FIB USU Meeting Room. This signing was attended by Deputy Director Dr. Arif Ridho Lubis, B.IT., M.Sc., IT., Head of the Department of Business Administration Polmed Harris Pinagaran Nasution, S.E., M.M., Coordinator of the Business Management Study Program Edi Putra Berutu, S.E., M.Si., Coordinator of the Administration Study Program Irwan Musriza Harahap, S.E., M.Si., PS MICE Coordinator Rismawati, S.E., M.Sc., Head of UPA Language Dr. Drs. Suriyadi, M.Hum., Dean and Vice Deans of FIB USU, Head of Administration, Head of Subdivision and Education Staff of FIB USU.
The signing began with welcoming remarks by the Dean of FIB USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. The USU FIB Dean hopes that this PKS will later be implemented in the Tri Dharma of each Study Program. From this collaboration, both parties can invite lecturers as resource persons with MBKM openness. The USU FIB Dean also hopes to obtain information and knowledge for our students about management, entrepreneurship, banking, and others.

Head of the Department of Business Administration at Polmed, Harris Pinagaran Nasution, S.E., M.Sc. conveyed that the number of departments at Polmed is 6 departments, and in the commerce department there are 2 departments. In the Polmed Business Administration major, there are 3 study programs (D3 Business Administration Study Program, D4 MICE Study Program namely Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition and D4 Business Management Study Program). In these 3 study programs, Polmed also has links to language, namely general courses in Indonesian, English, Japanese and Mandarin. In this course Polmed has difficulty finding lecturers, especially in Mandarin.
The Chair of the Department of Business Administration at Polmed also said that with this collaborative activity, the Department of Business Administration at Polmed and FIB USU could develop human resources, not just teaching activities, but Community Service and Research could work together.
"Especially now in terms of education in Indonesia, it is very dynamic. Currently, MBKM, then Independent Student Exchange (PMM) activities have emerged. The Business Administration Department has entered its 4th Class in Student Exchange and has been sent throughout Indonesia. Hopefully later we can share with each other in this form of cooperation," said the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Polmed.
