From the results of the meeting and discussion, a decision was made that alumni must play a role in: (1) Alumni Career Development, including: providing assistance in efforts to improve alumni human resources, being a resource person at public lectures, handled by Drs. Tigor Tampubolon, Drs. Arigato Sianturi, S.Th. (2) Internship activities are responsible for Drs. Pardamean Sianipar, Drs. Joharton Silaban, Irwan Sianturi, S.S. (3) Alumni relations are responsible for the Chairman of the Alumni Association, namely Dr. Tomson Sibarani, M.Hum., and (4) Study Tracer or alumni survey was responsible for Drs. Ramlan Damanik, M. Hum.

FIB USU PR - The FIB USU's Batak Literature Study Program carried out the "Alumni Gathering" activity entitled "Mburo Ate Tedeh" meaning Meet the Alumni, held on Friday (12-1-2024) taking two activity locations, namely in the FIB USU's Multi-Purpose Building (at 09.00 – 11.30 WIB) and continued at Café Roemah Kayu on Jl. AH. Nasution (15.00 – 21.00 WIB). This activity was attended by 50 alumni, 20 of whom were middle managers in various agencies, both government and private.

 

This Alumni Gathering activity began in the FIB USU's Multipurpose Building which was attended by the Dean of FIB USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A., Vice Dean III Dra. Heristina Dewi, M.Pd. Chairman of the Batak Regional Literature Alumni Association (IASDABA) Dr. Tomson Sibarani, M.Hum., Inten Bandung Prosus Manager Drs. Tigor Tampubolon, as well as a representative from the Jakarta Batak Center, lecturer at the Batak Literature Study Program, alumni and students.

 

The agenda of activities carried out at Café Roemah Kayu began with the screening of the Equity Project Alumni Gathering at the Universitas Sumatra Utara, discussions about efforts to advance study programs, discussing the role of alumni, formulating alumni roles, and entertainment. From the results of the meeting and discussion, a decision was made that alumni must play a role in: (1) Alumni Career Development, including: providing assistance in efforts to improve alumni human resources, being a resource person at public lectures, handled by Drs. Tigor Tampubolon, Drs. Arigato Sianturi, S.Th. (2) Internship activities are responsible for Drs. Pardamean Sianipar, Drs. Joharton Silaban, Irwan Sianturi, S.S. (3) Alumni relations are responsible for the Chairman of the Alumni Association, namely Dr. Tomson Sibarani, M.Hum., and (4) Study Tracer or alumni survey was responsible for Drs. Ramlan Damanik, M. Hum. This is the formula that can be taken through the Alumni Gathering activity of the USU FIB Batak Literature Study Program. Hopefully similar activities can be carried out in the following years and USU's ranking will continue to rise and international standard education services can be realized.
