Hands-on experience plays a vital role in preparing graduates for the professional world. Through the Internship Program, three students from the Batak Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara, have the opportunity to strengthen their academic competencies while gaining practical workplace experience at the Department of Tourism, Youth, and Sports of Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This program provides students with a valuable platform to apply the knowledge they have acquired in the classroom within a real professional environment.

Throughout the internship, the students will participate in a variety of activities related to tourism development, the preservation of local cultural heritage, and public service. These experiences are expected to broaden their perspectives, enhance their professional skills, and develop essential competencies such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving—qualities that are indispensable in today's dynamic workplace.

This internship program reflects the Batak Literature Study Program's commitment to delivering experiential learning through meaningful collaboration with external institutions. By bridging academic knowledge with professional practice, the program prepares students not only to excel academically but also to make meaningful contributions to cultural preservation, tourism development, and community empowerment. Every experience gained in the field serves as a foundation for lifelong learning and a pathway toward creating a positive impact on society.
