FIB USU PR - The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) together with the FIB USU Alumni Association held a Fun Walk and Alumni Gathering in the context of the 58th Anniversary of FIB USU. This activity also invited the Rector of USU, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos, M.Si., The 18th Governor of North Sumatra Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) H. Edy Rahmayadi, Vice Rector I USU Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A. and Mr. Prof. Dr. Rudy Sofyan M. Hum. This activity took place at USU's FIB Courtyard on Sunday (09/10/2023).
Based on the theme of the USU FIB Alumni Gathering, namely Backing Home for Internationalizing Our Campus, the Rector of USU said that FIB has quite large potential for expansion. So, this will support USU in the Internationalization program. Mr H. Edy Rahmayadi also delivered his opening remarks. He hopes that many USU FIB alumni will join government, because USU FIB students have potential in various fields. After that Mr. H. Edy Rahmayadi read a poem by a National Figure.
The aim of this Alumni Gathering activity is to strengthen ties between the USU FIB extended family. The Dean of FIB USU said that "The Alumni Gathering is a work program from FIB USU, the aim is to increase KPI I to be more significant, alumni are also expected to be able to open a wider network so that FIB USU graduates can be quickly accepted into work."
The next activity is a poetry reading by Juliano Adjie Mansiz who is the 2022 PEKSIMINAS poetry champion in Malang. After that, the presentation of material by Prof. Dr. Rudy Sofyan M. Hum. regarding the Contribution of USU FIB Alumni in supporting the USU FIB Internationalization Program. The activity ended with entertainment, the presentation of Door Prizes and lunch.
