Through this activity, there will be a positive impact on the study program, namely increasing the competence of lecturers and students in realizing the vision and mission of the study program, faculty and university. It is hoped that this activity can support the University's KPI 2 in relation to student achievement.

FIB USU PR - On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, the Arabic Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) held a Public Lecture with the theme "Improving the Quality of Arabic Language Learning" which took place in the FIB USU's Tengku Amin Ridwan Hall. This Public Lecture activity was opened directly by the Head of the Arabic Literature Study Program; Dr. Nursukma Suri, M.Ag. In her remarks she expressed her appreciation to the Dean of the FIB for the full support they have been given and hopes that this activity can be an encouragement, especially for students, to be more active in learning Arabic.

 

 

In this Public Lecture activity, the FIB USU's Arabic Literature Study Program invited Ustadz Faisal bin Ali Madkhali. He is the director of the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences (LIPIA) which is under the auspices of the Imam Muhamamad bin Saud Islamic University, Riyadh. General lecture material is delivered in the form of lectures in Arabic using PowerPoint screen sharing.

 

After finishing delivering the training material, the participants who attended, consisting of lecturers and students, were given the opportunity by the Moderator (Dr. Windi Chaldun, Lc., M.Hum.) to ask questions to the resource persons. In this question-and-answer session, the participants were very enthusiastic to find out more about tips and tricks for improving the quality of learning Arabic.

 

Public Lecture activities end at 12.00 WIB. Before the activity ended, certificates and plaques were handed over to the speakers, followed by a group photo with all the participants present.

 

This activity is a very important activity for the Arabic Literature Study Program to provide understanding and increase insight into what is a good and correct way to improve the quality of Arabic language learning.

It is hoped that this activity can support the University's KPI 2 in relation to student achievement.

 

Insya Allah, Public Lecture activities will be held every year with different themes according to things deemed necessary for the FIB USU's Arabic Literature Study Program.
