FIB USU PR - On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, the Arabic Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) held an Internal Training activity for Filing Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) which took place in the FIB USU's Tengku Amin Ridwan Hall.
This training activity was opened directly by Mr. Mhd. Pujiono, M.Hum., Ph.D. as Vice Dean III representing the Dean of the FIB USU. In his speech, the Vice Dean III stated that Intellectual Property Rights are expected to support IKU (Key Performance Indicators) which is currently a university program. Apart from that, IPR can also be proof of lecturer performance which can be added to the SISTER account in terms of supporting BKD.
Head of the Arabic Literature Study Program; Dr. Nursukma Suri, M.Ag., also gave a welcoming speech at this activity as well as giving appreciation to the Dean of FIB USU for the full support that has been given.
In this internal HKI training activity, the FIB USU's Arabic Literature Study Program invited Samerdanta Sinulingga, S.TPar., M.Par. as a resource person. He is one of the teaching staff at the D3 Tourism Travel Study Program, Vocational Faculty, Universitas Sumtera Utara. He is also a content creator and has many Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) certificates.
This internal training activity took place in two sessions. The first session is from 10.00 to 12.00 WIB. After Ishoma it continues from 13.30 to 15.30 WIB. The training material is delivered in the form of lectures in Indonesian using a PowerPoint share screen.
After finishing delivering the training material, the participants who attended, consisting of lecturers and students, were given the opportunity by the Moderator (Andi Pratama Lubis, S.S., M.Hum.) to ask questions to the resource persons. In this question and answer session, the participants were very enthusiastic to find out more about tips and tricks for applying for Intellectual Property Rights.
This training activity ends at 15.50 WIB. Before the activity ended, a certificate was handed over to the resource person, followed by a group photo with all the participants present. This internal training is a very important activity for the Arabic Literature Study Program to provide understanding and increase insight into the proper and correct way to apply for Intellectual Property Rights. Through this activity, there will be a positive impact on the study program, namely increasing the competence of lecturers and students in realizing the vision and mission of the study program, faculty and university. From this activity, it is targeted that new IPRs will be presented from Arabic Literature lecturers and students.
Insya Allah, internal training activities will be carried out every year with different themes according to things deemed necessary for the FIB USU's Arabic Literature Study Program.
