The FIB USU Dean also informed that a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with USM had been signed. This is a positive step forward in realizing educational cooperation between nations.

FIB USU PR - Wednesday, May 8th 2024, Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. together with the Head of the FIB USU English Literature Undergraduate Study Program Mahmud Arief Albar, S.S., M.A. visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia at Wisma Indonesia, Penang. The meeting discussed efforts to increase FIB USU's collaboration with universities in the working area of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia Penang, especially the follow-up to the double degree collaboration between USU and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

 

 

Wanton Saragih Sid. as the Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia opened the opportunity for FIB USU lecturers to visit the consulate to propose planned activities. Wanton Saragih is a graduate from Faculty of Social Science and Political Science (FISIP) USU, so this closeness made him open to welcoming USU colleagues in the midst of his busy duties as a diplomat.

 

The FIB USU Dean also informed that a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with USM had been signed. This is a positive step forward in realizing educational cooperation between nations. The Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia welcomed the progress of cooperation between USU and USM, and expressed support for increased cooperation between the two universities.
