FIB USU PR - On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), through the Undergraduate Program in Indonesian Literature, in collaboration with the North Sumatra Language Center, organized an Essay Writing Training held at the Multipurpose Hall of FIB USU. The event was attended by students and members of the FIB USU academic community who enthusiastically participated in the training to improve their writing skills, particularly in essay writing.

The training was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Dra. T. She also emphasized that writing ability is an essential academic competence that students should continuously develop.

The training involved a staff member from the North Sumatra Language Center, Hasan Al Banna, who delivered materials and shared insights on techniques and strategies for composing well-structured and systematic essays. The session also featured Rachmad Fadillah Maha, S.S., M.Si., a lecturer from the Indonesian Literature Study Program of FIB USU. In addition, the event was enlivened by the presence of the North Sumatra Language Ambassadors (Duta Bahasa Sumatera Utara), who motivated participants to further develop their literacy skills and actively promote the proper and correct use of the Indonesian language.

Through this activity, it is expected that FIB USU students will become more skilled in expressing their ideas in written form and improve the quality of their academic writing.
