FIB USU PR - On Thursday, 5 February 2026, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU) held the Control and Follow-Up Meeting for the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) and the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) of USU at the FIB USU Meeting Room. The meeting was attended by the Vice Dean I of FIB USU and all FIB USU academic staff.
The meeting was opened by Prof. Drs. Mauly Purba, M.A., Ph.D., who emphasized that the control and follow-up of AMI findings represent a shared commitment to continuously improving academic quality and faculty governance.
Chair of the Quality Assurance Unit (GJM) of FIB USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Mahriyuni, M.Hum., stated that the meeting aimed to evaluate the implementation results of the AMI and to formulate structured and sustainable follow-up action plans to strengthen the faculty’s internal quality assurance system.
“This meeting is a crucial step to ensure that all AMI findings are addressed systematically and sustainably, in order to reinforce the implementation of SPMI and foster a quality culture within FIB USU,” she noted.
In her presentation, the Chair of GJM FIB USU highlighted the importance of collective commitment from all members of the academic community in following up AMI findings and consistently implementing SPMI to enhance academic quality, governance, and educational services at FIB USU. The meeting is expected to encourage continuous improvement and further strengthen the quality culture within the faculty.
