Adriana Hasibuan, S.S., M.Hum. was born in Medan on July 27, 1962. She is a lecturer at Universitas Sumatera Utara specializing in Linguistics. She earned her Master's degree in Linguistics from the Graduate School of Universitas Sumatera Utara in 2003.

In recognition of her long-standing dedication and service, she received the Satyalancana Karya Satya XXX (30-Year Service) Honorary Medal, conferred by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, in Jakarta. She also previously received the Satyalancana Karya Satya XX (20-Year Service) Honorary Medal, awarded by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, in Jakarta.
