Alumni Testimonials

-

When I was declared a graduate and became an alumna of Arabic Literature at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Faculty of Cultural Science, it was both a blessing and a proud achievement for me. Since graduating in 2018, I have been an Arabic Literature alumna who is determined, optimistic, and enthusiastic about learning. Driven by my curiosity in the field of phonology and my goal to develop my undergraduate thesis into a master's thesis, I decided to pursue further education at the master's level by taking Linguistics with a concentration in Arabic Linguistics. While being a master's student, I participated in the civil servant selection (CPNS) in 2019 and was fortunate to pass the examination. My accomplishments could not have been possible without the guidance of the Arabic Literature Study Program, which provided me with knowledge and shaped my character to be more advanced, enabling me to surpass thousands of other participants. Currently, I dedicate myself to serving the country by contributing to the intellectual development of the nation's children as an Arabic language teacher under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

The benefits I have reaped from the learning process of 3 years and 10 months have provided me with a new perspective on life to dive into society, including understanding the linguistic sciences, comprehending the meanings in the Qur'an, communicating effectively in Arabic, and serving the country by making meaningful contributions within the context of Arabic literature. The fruits of my efforts to reach the Arabic Literature Study Program have greatly impacted my life, allowing me to become a writer and contribute to Arabic language translation for society.
