Subject: Schedule of Odd Semester Final Examinations (UAS) Academic Year 2023/2024

With due respect, in accordance with the Academic Calendar of Universitas Sumatera Utara for Academic Year 2023/2024, the Odd Semester Final Examinations will be held from December 11, 2023 to December 23, 2023. Therefore, we hereby deliver the Odd Semester Final Examination Schedule of Academic Year 2023/2024, with the following provisions:
- Odd Semester lectures for Academic Year 2023/2024 will end on December 8, 2023 (16 weeks). The Odd Semester Final Examinations will be conducted from December 11, 2023 to December 23, 2023 (schedule attached). All final examinations will be conducted offline (onsite) and no changes shall be made to the established exam schedule to facilitate coordination and administrative order.
- Courses eligible for examination are those that have been conducted for 16 meetings for 2-credit courses, 16 meetings for 3-credit courses, and 32 meetings for 4-credit courses, or at least 90% of the total class sessions.
- Examination questions must be prepared no later than three days prior to the scheduled exam. Late submission of exam questions to the assigned staff will not be accepted, and the lecturer is fully responsible for preparing the exam questions.
- The course coordinator/lecturer in charge must be present to supervise the implementation of the final examination of their respective course. Lecturers must submit the Odd Semester Final Examination scores to the Academic Section of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara, no later than one week after the exam is conducted. If the submission is late, the Faculty will assign a grade of “B” to all students in that course. The concerned lecturer will also be sanctioned with a one-semester teaching suspension.
- In accordance with the Academic Regulations of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, lecturers are required to complete four assessment components: assignments (40%), assignments (20%), midterm examination (30%), and final examination (40%) in the DPNA.
- Assessment system: Courses with an applied nature must use the Criterion-Referenced Assessment System (PAP), while non-applied courses must use the Norm-Referenced Assessment System (PAN).
- Students whose names are not listed in the exam participant list are not allowed to take the exam.
- Students may only take the exam if they have attended at least 80% of the total class meetings.
- Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs are requested to directly monitor the implementation of the final examinations.
