With due respect, in line with efforts to improve service quality and to support the digitalization of transactions at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library, we hereby inform you that starting August 1, 2025, the USU Library will implement electronic fine payments for overdue book returns through QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) in collaboration with Bank BNI. Payments via QRIS can be made using various e-wallets and mobile banking applications that support the QRIS system. Along with the implementation of this digital payment system, we also inform you that the discounts or reductions on overdue fines previously granted to USU academic members will no longer be applied effective August 1, 2025. This policy aims to simplify administrative processes, ensure greater transparency, promote user discipline, and enhance efficiency in library service management. We kindly request that the Heads of Work Units and other related units disseminate this information to all academic members within their respective environments so that it may be well understood and complied with.
