FIB USU PR - Tuesday, June 4th 2024, young diplomats from the Chinese Consulate General in Medan visited the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) and had an exchange with students of the FIB USU's Chinese Language Study Program. Two young diplomats used "The Art of Flower Arrangement" and "Emperor Qin Shihuang's Terracotta Warriors" as starting points to introduce traditional Chinese culture, the history of Sino-Indonesian exchanges and China's modernization achievements to students. Apart from that, students also shared their experiences learning Mandarin and their understanding of Chinese culture.
In the exchange and interaction session, the young diplomats answered in detail the students' concerns regarding the development of relations between the two countries, joint development of "One Belt and One Road", the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train, studying in China, ethnic and religious policies in China. They also hope that students will have the opportunity to go to China, and directly experience China's development.
