

FIB USU PR - On Monday, October 13, 2025, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of North Sumatra (FIB USU), held a welcoming ceremony for students/Summer Course Participants at FIB USU 2025. This event served as an official welcome for the participants, who came from various universities and countries, and marked the start of the FIB 2025 Summer Course program.
The welcoming ceremony was attended by the Dean of FIB USU, Vice Deans, Heads of Subdivisions, lecturers, educational staff, and Summer Course participants. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, FIB USU welcomed the participants as part of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences academic community. This event also reflected FIB USU's commitment to supporting internationalization and academic exchange programs.
The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Eng. In his remarks, the Dean of Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Dr. Himsar Ambarita, S.t., M.t., welcomed all participants of the 2025 FIB Summer Course. He also stated that the program is designed to provide a comprehensive academic and cultural experience, not only through lectures but also through cross-cultural interactions and an introduction to the local wisdom of North Sumatra.
On this occasion, participants were introduced to the profile of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, study programs, and various academic and non-academic activities they would participate in during the Summer Course. An explanation of the program's objectives, curriculum, and implementation mechanisms was provided to provide participants with a clear picture of the activities to be undertaken.
This welcome also served as an opportunity to strengthen communication between participants and the FIB USU academic community. Through introductory sessions and brief dialogues, it is hoped that good relationships and a conducive learning atmosphere will be established throughout the program. Participants appeared enthusiastic about participating in the series of events and looked forward to the cross-cultural learning experience they would gain.
The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the University of North Sumatra (USU) hopes that the participation of students/participants in the 2025 FIB Summer Course will provide academic benefits and valuable international experience. In addition to enriching scientific knowledge, this program is expected to strengthen cultural understanding and build sustainable academic networks at the national and international levels.
