During this visit, Ethnomusicology Study Program students also took an active role by performing traditional music and dances such as Karo Ethnic Gundala-gundala Music and Dance performances, Javanese Gamelan music performances and Tentoro Surokerto Dance.

HUMAS FIB USU - Tuesday, May 7 2024, the Ethnomusicology Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) received a visit from South Korea Prof. Lee Seok-Hee (Namseoul University) and Dr. Both Wanki (Director of North Seoul Technology and Education Institute) and the visit were attended by Vice Dean II Dra. Heristina Dewi, M.Pd., Vice Dean III Mhd. Pujiono, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., Chair of the Ethnomusicology Study Program, Dra. Rithaony, M.A. Secretary of the Ethnomusicology Study Program Hubari Gulo, S.Sn., M.Sn., Lecturer in Ethnomusicology Drs. Yoe Anto Ginting, M.A, Lecturer in Arabic Literature Dr. Dra. Nursukma Suri, M.Ag, Indonesian Literature Lecturer Dr. Dardanila, M.Hum., KTU Benny Wardhana, S.H and Head of Subdivision. Kasnawati Academic, S.E.

 

 

The visit from South Korea to FIB USU's Ethnomusicology Study Program was an activity initiated by Prof. Budi Agustono (Professor of Historical Science at FIB USU). This visit is one of a series of their activities in Indonesia. These two guests have the potential for collaboration and development in the field of technology at the Universitas Sumatra Utara.

 

The aim of this activity is to introduce musical instruments owned by the FIB USU's Ethnomusicology Study Program and traditional dances. During this visit, Ethnomusicology Study Program students also took an active role by performing traditional music and dances such as Karo Ethnic Gundala-gundala Music and Dance performances, Javanese Gamelan music performances and Tentoro Surokerto Dance.
