In this collaboration, FIB USU and FBS UNIMED have many advantages because there are already many study programs at FIB USU, while FBS UNIMED still has 10 different study programs, only the German language study program and the French language study program. The collaboration that is being implemented is towards achieving WCU. The Dean of FBS UNIMED also expressed that he felt that it was difficult for WCU to achieve international achievements with the involvement of lecturers in higher education activities.

FIB USU PR - On Monday 4 December 2023, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Universitas Negeri Medan, which was attended by the Dean of the FIB USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A., Vice Dean III Mr. Mhd. Pujiono, M. Hum., Ph.D., KTU Mr. Benny Wardhana, S.H, Head of P2KM&K Subdivision Mrs. Adry Wiyanni Ridwan, S.S, all FIB USU Study Program Chairs & Secretaries, P2KM&K and Public Relations staff.

 

 

FIB USU Dean Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A expressed her gratitude in collaborating with FBS UNIMED and was willing to visit FIB USU directly. The Dean of FIB also said that FIB USU has 15 study programs, namely 10 undergraduate study programs, 4 master's study programs and 1 doctoral study program. And also, the current number of FIB USU students is around 4,979 students. The Dean of FIB also said that this collaboration could develop the Tridharma of Higher Education in the fields of teaching and research in community service. It is hoped that teaching collaborations such as FIB USU alumni who have worked at UNIMED, can also teach at FIB.

 

Dean of the FBS UNIMED Dr. Zulkifli, M.Sn said that this collaboration is very important and the aim is to build friendship and get to know each other. In this collaboration, mutually supportive institutions can be developed between the two institutions.

PBA Study Program Vice Dean II FBS UNIMED and Achmad Yuhdi, M.Pd, Head of the Integrity Zone.
