FIB USU PR - On Friday 15 December 2023, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) signed a Cooperation Agreement between the FIB USU's Malay Literature Study Program and the Pahang Malay Letters Council, Faculty of Management and Informatics, Universitas Islam Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah, Theater Club Rajuk Kuantan Pahang and the Central Regional Language and Literature Council which was attended by Vice Dean III Mr. Mhd. Pujiono, M.Hum., Ph.D, Head of P2KM&K Subdivision Mrs. Adry Wiyanni Ridwan, S.S, and Head of the Malay Literature Study Program Dra. Mardiah Mawar Kembaren, M.A., Ph. Secretary of Study Program, Lecturer and Student of Malay Literature.

Head of the Malay Literature Study Program, Mrs. Dra. Mardiah Mawar Kembaren, M.A., Ph.D delivered opening remarks at the "Friendly Gathering and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity with the theme of strengthening kinship for the sake of advanced Malay civilization by the Malay literature study program with DPMP, UNIPSAS Faculty of Management and Informatics, regional DBP director Central Malaysia, Rajuk Theater Kuantan Pahang Malaysia".

Vice Dean III Mr. Mhd. Pujiono, M. Hum., Ph.D conveyed that in 2024 USU will enter the internationalization of the university and will establish many collaborations with external parties, especially abroad, which will contribute to USU's institutionalization. On this day, FIB USU will also hold collaborative activities with Pahang Malaysia related to international activities, for example FIB USU lecturers will hold international seminars, workshops which will directly visit Pahang Malaysia.

Friendly Gathering and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme "Strengthening Kinship for the sake of Advanced Malay Civilization" is one of the activities carried out by the Malay Literature study program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatra Utara with academics and practitioners from Malaysia. This activity is also a collaboration between the Malay Literature study program and various institutions from Pahang, Malaysia.
