FIB USU PR - Tuesday, June 25th 2024, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Kasetsart University, Thailand with the theme Academic Writing: A Comprehensive Guidelines on How to Publish a Paper and Discussion of the 10th ICLE 2024 conference (5th – 6th December) involving the FIB USU English Literature Undergraduate Study Program and English Postgraduate Study Program with the Department of Hospitality Innovation and Intercultural Communication, Faculty of Hospitality Industry.
The activity continues with the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA) for Training Research Publication activities by resource persons from FIB USU Prof. Dr. Rudy Sofyan, S.S., M. Hum. and Dr. Muhammad Yusuf, S.Pd., M.A. Prof. Rudy in his presentation discussed about IMRaD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) in Writing Articles on Social Sciences. Prof. Rudy explains that writing in the social sciences is an evidence-based endeavor that expands our knowledge of the world and helps policymakers and citizens make effective decisions. Social scientists strive to provide empirical data objectively, free of bias, and convey evidence and knowledge clearly and precisely.
FIB USU Dean Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. hopes that international level collaboration between these two faculties/universities can support the Tridharma of higher education (PT) and USU's World Class University (WCU) program.
