FIB USU PR - On Friday, October 4, 2024, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the University of North Sumatra (USU) carried out the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementation of Agreement (IA) for the Visit of MAN 1 Medan to FIB USU Regarding Campus Study which was held in the FIB USU Meeting Room which was attended by the Dean of FIB Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, MA, Vice Dean 3 Mhd. Pujiono, SS, M.Hum., Ph.D Secretary of the Library and Information Science Study Program. And the Principal of MAN 1 also Teachers and Students.

Dean of FIB USU Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein MA delivered a welcoming speech at the visit of MAN 1 to FIB, the dean of FIB was very happy. In this case, the dean said that FIB has 15 Study Programs consisting of 10 S1 study programs, one of which is Library and Information Science and 4 S2 Study Programs and 1 S3 Linguistics Study Program.
FIB USU also has 4979 active students, the dean hopes that this cooperation agreement can be implemented in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities and related to learning and research.
The dean really hopes that the programs that we have realized can certainly be implemented and FIB has the task of achieving the targets of the main performance indicators 1-8 and one of them is Cooperation.
The dean also said that currently FIB is preparing 5 Study Programs that will be Internationally Accredited by the German FIBAA Institution. Which consists of English Literature, Malay Literature, Arabic Literature, Indonesian Literature and Mandarin.
The Principal of MAN 1 Reza Faisal, S.Pd., M. PMat delivered a welcoming speech at this activity, MAN 1 chose USU as a mandate in continuing studies for MAN 1 students, one of which is FIB. MAN 1 Students in this visit Most of the selected students who joined the Journalism Extracurricular are actively developing soft skills and the KIR (Teen Scientific Work) Extracurricular field. In building this cooperation, hopefully it can be beneficial in the future for MAN and FIB.
