FIB USU PR - On Tuesday, April 23 2024, the Arabic Literature Study Program Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) held a Public Lecture on Entrepreneurship and Creative Ideas at the FIB USU's Prof. T. Amin Ridwan Hall. The public lecture also invited H. Palacheta Subies Subianto, B.A., M.Sc. who is the CEO of Focal Point Mall Medan as a resource person. The participants in this activity were all students, lecturers and staff of the Arabic Literature Study Program. Serving as host is Rahmi Yulida Harahap; Arabic Literature student who is currently in the fourth semester.
This Public Lecture on Entrepreneurship and Creative Ideas was opened directly by Mrs. Dr. Dardanila, M. Hum. as Expert Staff to the Dean of FIB USU. In her speech, she appreciated the activities carried out by the Arabic Literature Study Program and advised that this activity could increase the motivation and creativity of Arabic Literature Study Program students in entrepreneurship.
The Public Lecture material was delivered directly by H. Palacheta Subies Subianto, B.A., M.Sc. He is a young figure in the city of Medan who has been active in the business world for a long time. Apart from serving as General Chair of BPC HIPMI Medan City, he currently also holds the position of CEO of Vocal Point Medan Mall. The resource person gave a presentation of around 120 minutes. This Public Lecture activity is an inseparable and very important aspect for lecturers and students of the Arabic Literature Study Program. This aims to provide a good understanding of the importance of having an entrepreneurial spirit. Apart from gaining knowledge on campus, students are also required to have an entrepreneurial spirit to support their abilities when they become alumni. Thus, this activity has a big impact in improving the quality of education in line with supporting the vision and mission of the University, Faculty and Arabic Literature Study Program.
