FIB USU PR - Mrs. Dr. Mahriyuni, M.Hum and Mrs. Dr. T. Syarfina, M.Hum (Lecturer of S2 Linguistics Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara) attended the invitation of the Educational and Cultural Attaché (ATDIKBUD) of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Paris, France in carrying out their duties as discussants at the book review activity of Indonesian literary works Bulan Madu Matahari by Benny Arnas on May 10, 2023 at the Library of Univ Inalco Paris (Bibliotheque Universitaire des langues et Civilisations Inalco).
This Book Review event is open to the general public, students, academics, researchers, BIPA lecturers, and the Indonesian diaspora in France.
In addition, these two lecturers also attended the Literary Work Writing Workshop at the Indonesian Embassy in Paris. The next activity is to hold discussions with ATDIKBUD related to the plan to prepare promotional activities for Indonesian literary works with the aim of attracting public interest in France towards Indonesian literary works.
It is expected that they will be interested in Indonesia in terms of culture, language, literature, and other aspects. Furthermore, the two linguistic experts held a meeting with several BIPA Lecturers (Indonesian Foreign Speakers) at the Indonesian Embassy in Paris to discuss the implementation of BIPA related to the BIPA learning model in Paris. This model was prepared in order to form a BIPA teaching community at USU.
