FIB USU PR - Friday, September 15, 2023, is the fifth day that the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) carried out International Summer Course activities with the theme "North Sumatra Cultural Diversity Introducing Malay and Batak Cultural Diversity". On this day, International Summer Course participants carried out an Excursion and Study Tour to the Deli Serdang Museum, Lubuk Pakam Deli Serdang. International Summer Course participants carried out Malay Culture Study: Performance and Film guided by Prof. T. Silvana Sinar, M.A, Ph.D. and Tengku Mira Rozanna, S. Sos. M.Sc. After the Summer Course activities at the Deli Serdang Museum were finished, the Summer Course participants left for Lake Toba to rest to prepare themselves for the activities the next day.
Saturday, September 16, 2023, is the sixth and final day that FIB USU carries out International Summer Course activities. On this day, International Summer Course participants carried out a Study Tour to Lumban Suhi Suhi Village, Huta Siallagan, and Tomok Tourism Village, Samosir.
With the visit to Samosir, FIB USU's International Summer Course has ended in 2023. The Excursion and Study Tour in this Summer Course went well, and the Summer Course participants admired various kinds of cultural arts and were enthusiastic about studying Malay and Batak culture. We hope that in the future FIB USU can continue to hold International Summer Courses which will certainly be more interesting, and can bring in more participants.
