FIB USU PR - On Saturday, April 27 2024, the English Literature Student Association (IMSI) Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) held an event entitled "IMSI's Symposium" in the hall on the 1st floor of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU. The theme this time is "Passport to Future Superhero". This event is an integral part of IMSI's annual series of activities, which aims to introduce the English Literature study program to students and provide insight and enlightenment about the importance of English for the future.
Two speakers were also invited to share their thoughts in this seminar. The first speaker was Bernard Uadan, who served as the American consul to Sumatra. The second speaker is Prof. Dr. Rudy Sofyan, S.S., M.Hum, who is the head of the Office of International Affairs (KUI) at the Universitas Sumatra Utara. The two speakers presented in-depth material about how important English is in preparing for the future, especially after graduating as an English Literature graduate.
This event was not only attended by students from various schools but also students at USU and outside USU. They are given the opportunity to gain insight into the English Literature study program and the positive impacts they can gain by mastering English well.
