FIB USU PR - On Wednesday, May 2nd 2024, the Postgraduate Linguistics Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) carried out Halalbihalal Activities. This activity was attended by the Dean of FIB USU Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A., Head of the Postgraduate Linguistics Study Program, Prof. Dr. Drs. Mulyadi, MHum., Secretary of Master of Linguistics Dr. Alemina Warning Wind, M Hum. Secretary of Doctoral in Linguistics Dr. Gustianigsih, M.Hum., Professor in FIB USU Prof. Robert Sibarani, M.S., Prof. Deliana M. Hum. Prof. and several other lecturers.
On this occasion Emelia KH.M.M. as chairman of the organizing committee and also representing FIB USU Linguistics students delivered a welcoming speech. "This activity is the first activity and of course it is important to continue to carry it out in order to create friendship between fellow graduate students, as well as between students and lecturers. In the series of events there was also a tumpeng as a form of joy that FIB USU Linguistics Doctoral Program remains No. 1 in the SINTA score from all Doctoral Linguistics in Indonesia," said Emelia.
The activity was continued with remarks by the Head of the Linguistics Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Prof. Dr. Mulyadi M. Hum. He appreciated that this activity was a student initiative, led by Emilia KH, M.M and Dedy Rahmad Sitinjak. M. Si. On this occasion Prof. Mulyadi said that the lecturers in the Linguistics Study Program were still able to maintain their activity in writing scientific papers in the SINTA Journal, so that the Linguistics Doctoral Study Program became the program with the number 1 highest score for the Linguistics Doctoral Program in Indonesia.
FIB USU Dean Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. in her speech hoped that on this halalbihalal occasion, the friendship would become more harmonious and positive. "Let's increase friendship between students and lecturers, students and students. Let's increase cooperation in carrying out teaching and learning activities and also research activities and let us respect each other's differences. The FIB campus is a place that is diverse in ethnicity, religion and culture in spirit. brotherhood," said the Dean.
After the Dean of FIB USU delivered her opening remarks, the event ended with a group photo and lunch with lecturers and students from the Postgraduate Linguistics Study Program.
