FIB USU PR - On Monday, July 21, 2025, the Master of Linguistics, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Indonesia (USU), successfully held an online public lecture titled "Intercultural Communication." The event featured Prof. I-Chung Ke from Yuan Ze University, Taiwan, and moderated by Dr. Tasnim Lubis, S.Pd.I., M.Hum. Also in attendance were Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. (Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Indonesia), Heads of Study Programs and Secretaries, lecturers, and Master of Linguistics students.

This event arose from the importance of equipping the academic community with intercultural communication insights and skills, which are needed not only for international interactions but also for multicultural social dynamics within the country. This guest lecture is targeted to make a tangible contribution to promoting the quality of international-based learning, expanding global academic networks, and enhancing the institution's reputation at the national and international levels. By involving participants from various domestic universities, this activity also demonstrates a broadening of participation and confirms the relevance of the theme of intercultural communication in the dynamic and transnational context of language and higher education.

2. To enhance students' and faculty's ability to understand the dynamics of cross-cultural interactions in various social, academic, and professional contexts.
3. Encourage the active involvement of the academic community in international-level academic activities that support the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), particularly KPI 6 and KPI 7.
4. Expand the academic network between the USU Faculty of Cultural Sciences Master of Linguistics Study Program and international institutions through collaboration in scientific forums.
