FIB USU PR - Students of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) named Humairah Hunaifiyah Al-Layalin Manik from the Undergraduate Study Program in Library and Information Science, Juliano Adjie Mansiz from the Undergraduate Study Program in Malay Literature and other dance team members received the "Most Spectacular Performance" award at the 23rd IMT-GT Varsity Carnival. The 23rd sports, cultural, and seminar activity between universities in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand under the IMT-GT Varsity Carnival was organized by Universiti Sains Malaysia on August 25-30, 2024.
INDONESIA - MALAYSIA - THAILAND GROWTH TRIANGLE (IMT-GT) was initiated by the Former Prime Minister of Malaysia in 1993 and supported by the Former President of Indonesia and the Prime Minister of Thailand in the same year on Langkawi Island, Malaysia. The IMT-GT Malaysia University Council was established in 1995 to provide a platform for students in the region to exchange and interact through sports, cultural activities and seminars. These activities are designed for the purpose of enhancing, enriching and promoting solidarity, goodwill, understanding and university friendship in the true spirit of IMT-GT.
It is hoped that more FIB USU students will continue to work, be active in participating in academic activities and competitions on an international scale to bring honor to the faculty and university.
