HUMAS FIB USU - On Monday, August 10, 2026, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU) received a visit from SMA Islam Plus Adzkia. The meeting, held in the Dean’s Office of FIB USU, was part of an effort to establish communication and explore opportunities for cooperation between secondary and higher education institutions.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of FIB USU, Mhd. Pujiono, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D.; Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. Zulfan, S.S., M.Hum.; Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure, Ely Hayati Nasution, S.S., M.Si., CIT; Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization, Andi Pratama Lubis, S.S., M.Hum.; as well as the Head of the P2KI Subdivision of FIB USU.

The meeting provided a forum for dialogue between the two institutions to establish communication regarding opportunities for institutional development and cooperation in education. The presence of the FIB USU leadership demonstrated the faculty’s commitment to creating opportunities for collaboration with various educational institutions as part of efforts to strengthen a sustainable education ecosystem.

Collaboration between secondary and higher education plays a strategic role in providing students with insights into the academic environment and introducing various opportunities for competency development before they pursue higher levels of education. In this context, FIB USU offers various disciplines within the humanities that can serve as avenues for young people to broaden their academic and cultural perspectives.

The meeting also served as an opportunity to strengthen institutional relations and explore potential synergies that can be further developed according to the needs and agreements of both institutions. Such cooperation is expected to contribute to improving the quality of education while expanding students’ access to academic experiences and knowledge.

The visit of SMA Islam Plus Adzkia to FIB USU is expected to serve as an initial step toward establishing mutually beneficial cooperation. Synergy between secondary and higher education can be developed through various academic and knowledge-enrichment activities in accordance with the needs and mutual agreements of both institutions.

Through this activity, FIB USU continues to demonstrate its commitment to expanding its network of partnerships with various educational institutions while contributing to the development of a collaborative, inclusive, and human resource development-oriented education ecosystem.
