FIB USU PR - Tuesday, August 8, 2023, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has carried out Outcome Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Review Consultation activities. The activity was held at Le Polonia Hotel and was attended by lecturers from the FIB USU. This activity began with a welcoming speech by Mr. Prof. Drs. Mauly Purba, M.A., Ph.D. as chairman of the committee for this activity. He hopes that this activity can become a forum for lecturers at the FIB USU to consult with resource persons regarding the OBE curriculum so that this activity can be useful for future learning at the FIB USU.
The activity continued with a welcoming speech by Mrs. Prof. Dr. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A. as Dean of the FIB USU. In line with the expectations of Mr. Prof. Drs. Mauly Purba, M.A., Ph.D., Dean of the FIB USU also hopes that this activity can provide an overview to lecturers within the FIB USU regarding the process of preparing and developing the OBE Curriculum.
This activity also invited an OBE Curriculum expert, namely Mr. Prof. Dr. I Made Narsa, S.E., M.Sc., CMA, CSRS., Ak., CA. as a resource person. He is the Director of the Directorate of Educational Innovation and Development at Universitas Airlangga. Prof. I Made Narsa conveyed several points in his presentation, namely matters related to the OBE-based curriculum, followed by the concept and implementation in the implementation of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), as well as what things must be considered in evaluating and redesigning the previous curriculum.
The activity continued with a question-and-answer session which was divided into two sessions. It seemed that the lecturers who were present were very interested in the discussion presented so that the discussion went well. The activity ended with a group photo of all participants along with resource persons and the Dean of the FIB USU.
