FIB USU PR - On Friday, August 7, 2026, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a Lecture Scheduling System Socialization and Performance Contract Signing for the Dean and Heads/Secretaries of Study Programs for 2026. The event took place at the FIB USU Multipurpose Hall and was attended by the Faculty’s leadership, administrative staff, and faculty members.

The event was attended by Mhd. Pujiono, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., Dean of FIB USU; Dr. Zulfan, S.S., M.Hum., Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs; Ely Hayati Nasution, S.S., M.Si., CIT, Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure; and Andi Pratama Lubis, S.S., M.Hum., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization.

The socialization of the lecture scheduling system was part of FIB USU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of academic management. A coordinated scheduling system is expected to facilitate a more systematic and well-organized learning process while accommodating the academic requirements of each study program.

Through this activity, lecturers and study program administrators gained a better understanding of the procedures and mechanisms involved in lecture scheduling. This understanding is essential to ensuring the effective delivery of teaching and learning activities while supporting the provision of high-quality academic services for students.

In addition to the lecture scheduling system socialization, the event featured the signing of the 2026 Performance Contracts for the Dean and the Heads/Secretaries of Study Programs. The signing represented a shared commitment to achieving the Faculty’s and study programs’ targets and implementing their respective work programs throughout 2026.

The performance contracts are expected to strengthen accountability, coordination, and synergy between the Faculty leadership and study programs. With clearly defined performance targets, each unit within FIB USU is expected to carry out its duties and responsibilities in a focused and measurable manner, with an emphasis on improving the quality of education and institutional governance.

The participation of all FIB USU lecturers also underscored the importance of academic community engagement in supporting the Faculty’s institutional objectives. Strong collaboration among the Faculty leadership, administrative staff, and lecturers is an essential factor in fostering an effective, professional, and sustainable academic environment.

Through the lecture scheduling system socialization and performance contract signing, FIB USU continues to promote a work culture centered on coordination, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in academic services. The initiative reflects the Faculty’s commitment to strengthening academic governance and supporting the achievement of institutional performance targets in 2026.
