FIB USU PR - On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), held a Halalbihalal event for 1447 H/2026 M at the Prof. T. Amin Ridwan Multipurpose Hall, FIB USU. The event carried the theme “Purifying the Heart, Strengthening Bonds, Fostering Harmony, and Enhancing FIB USU’s Performance.”

The event was attended by the Dean of FIB USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A., Vice Dean I Prof. Drs. Mauly Purba, M.A., Ph.D., Vice Dean II Dra. Heristina Dewi, M.Pd., and Vice Dean III Mhd. Pujiono, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., along with all lecturers, administrative staff, and student representatives from each study program within FIB USU. This Halalbihalal moment served as an opportunity to strengthen the sense of togetherness among the academic community following the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H.


The event commenced with an opening and remarks from the Head of the Committee, Mulyadi YS, S.E., who stated that Halalbihalal is not only an annual tradition but also a means to reinforce unity and build renewed enthusiasm for work and academic contributions.


“We hope that through this event, the spirit of togetherness and harmony will continue to be maintained, providing positive energy to enhance our performance and contributions to our beloved faculty,” he remarked.


In her speech, the Dean of FIB USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A., emphasized the importance of maintaining the values of solidarity, togetherness, and professionalism within the workplace. She also encouraged all members of the academic community to use the momentum of Eid al-Fitr as a starting point to improve performance and strengthen synergy among units within FIB USU.


A warm and familial atmosphere was evident throughout the event, as participants exchanged greetings and forgiveness, creating a harmonious environment that reflected the values of unity and togetherness.


Through this activity, it is hoped that all members of the FIB USU academic community will become more cohesive in carrying out their duties and responsibilities, and be able to foster a harmonious, productive work environment oriented toward improving institutional quality.
