FIB USU PR - On Friday, October 23, 2026 The Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), held a meeting to formulate the Faculty's Vision, Mission, Strategic Plan (Renstra), and Long-Term Development Plan for the 2026–2031 period, in the Dean's Office of FIB USU. The meeting marked an initial step in establishing the Faculty's policy direction, development priorities, and strategies for achieving its goals over the next five years.
The meeting was an important part of FIB USU's efforts to strengthen faculty planning and governance in alignment with the development direction of Universitas Sumatera Utara. Discussions covered the formulation of the Faculty's vision and mission, the preparation of its strategic plan, and the establishment of a long-term development plan. These documents will serve as guidelines for implementing programs and advancing the institution throughout the 2026–2031 period.
Through this meeting, FIB USU sought to develop a focused, measurable, and sustainable plan that takes into account the needs of education, research, community service, human resource development, and institutional governance. The resulting documents are expected to serve as references for all work units and study programs in implementing their respective programs in line with the Faculty's development objectives.
This initiative also reflects FIB USU's commitment to improving the quality of higher education, strengthening institutional capacity, and building a faculty that can adapt to future developments and challenges in higher education.
