FIB USU PR - On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), in collaboration with Musperin, held the Mini Talkshow & Sharing Session “Indonesia–Malaysia: Stories of Two Nations.” The event was part of the implementation of an Implementation Agreement (IA) between FIB USU and Musperin, aimed at strengthening collaboration in education, culture, and knowledge exchange concerning Indonesia–Malaysia relations.

The event involved students from the History Study Program at FIB USU as part of an academic learning and knowledge-sharing initiative. Riadh Fahrizi, a History student, served as a speaker, while seven other students participated as attendees. The students were accompanied by History Study Program lecturers Kiki Maulana Affandi, Junaidi, and Muhammad Rasyidin.

The mini talkshow and sharing session provided students with an opportunity to broaden their understanding of various aspects of Indonesia and Malaysia through discussion and the exchange of experiences. Their involvement as both speakers and participants also provided opportunities to develop communication skills, share knowledge, and gain broader perspectives on the relations and cultural contexts of the two countries.

Through the event, students were encouraged not only to participate as attendees but also to actively share their ideas and experiences. This initiative aligns with FIB USU’s commitment to providing learning opportunities that support student competency development beyond the classroom.

The implementation of the Mini Talkshow & Sharing Session “Indonesia–Malaysia: Stories of Two Nations” represents one of the collaborative activities carried out under the IA between FIB USU and Musperin. The partnership is expected to continue developing through various academic and cultural initiatives involving students, lecturers, and institutional partners.

The involvement of History Study Program lecturers also played an important role in providing academic guidance and ensuring meaningful student participation. The synergy between the academic community and institutional partners is expected to create further opportunities for collaboration in education, research, culture, and student development.

Through this initiative, FIB USU continues to strengthen institutional partnerships while providing students with opportunities to learn, engage in discussions, and exchange perspectives in the context of Indonesia–Malaysia relations. Going forward, the implementation of the IA between FIB USU and Musperin is expected to facilitate further collaborative activities that contribute to academic and cultural development.
