The aim of this activity is to show the rich culture of the ethnic groups in North Sumatra, including ethnic culinary and clothing. It is hoped that students as the younger generation can better understand and love culture. Apart from that, it is also a driving force in preserving culture in society.

FIB USU PR - On Tuesday, December 5 2023, the Historical Science Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) carried out "Ethnic Culinary and Clothing Exhibition" from several ethnicities in North Sumatra. This activity is an assignment for the course "Ethnic Culture in North Sumatra". The Lecturer in this course is Dra. Junita Setiana Ginting, M.Sc. and M. Azis Risky Lubis, S.S., M.A.

 

The aim of this activity is to show the rich culture of the ethnic groups in North Sumatra, including ethnic culinary and clothing. It is hoped that students as the younger generation can better understand and love culture. Apart from that, it is also a driving force in preserving culture in society.

 

The diverse ethnicities of North Sumatra certainly also have cultural diversity that we should be proud of and protect. This exhibition is the first activity, the History Study Program hopes that in the next period it can be carried out even better.
