FIB USU PR - On Tuesday, 28 July 2026, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) welcomed the Assessment Team from the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI), accompanied by representatives from the Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives of Universitas Sumatera Utara, for an Archival Management Evaluation (Uji Petik Pengelolaan Kearsipan). The activity was held at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, USU.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Mhd. Pujiono, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., together with Dr. Zulfan, S.S., M.Hum., Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni; Ely Hayati Nasution, S.S., M.Si., CIT, Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure; Andi Pratama Lubis, S.S., M.Hum., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization; as well as all Heads of Subdivisions, academic staff, and administrative personnel of FIB USU. The ANRI Assessment Team consisted of Susanti, S.Sos., Yoga Pratama Nugraha, S.Kom., and Nurbaiti, S.Hum., who were accompanied by representatives from the Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The visit was conducted to evaluate the implementation of archival management practices at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences as part of USU’s continuous efforts to strengthen institutional archival governance. During the assessment, the team reviewed the faculty’s archival management system, document completeness, storage procedures, and the implementation of archival governance in accordance with applicable national regulations and standards.
In his welcoming remarks, Dean Mhd. Pujiono expressed his appreciation for the presence of the ANRI Assessment Team and the Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives of USU. He emphasized that the evaluation serves as an important opportunity for the faculty to further improve its administrative and archival management systems in support of effective, transparent, and accountable institutional governance.
“This archival management evaluation provides a valuable opportunity for the Faculty of Cultural Sciences to receive constructive feedback and recommendations for improving our archival management system. We remain committed to continuously enhancing the quality of our archival governance in order to support professional and accountable administrative services,” said the Dean.
Throughout the evaluation, the assessment team examined various aspects of archival management while providing guidance and recommendations for continuous improvement. The activity is expected to strengthen archival awareness and compliance within the Faculty of Cultural Sciences while supporting the implementation of good university governance.
Through the collaboration between the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI), the Directorate of Governance, Legal Affairs, and Archives of Universitas Sumatera Utara, and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, USU, archival management within the faculty is expected to become increasingly effective and efficient. This initiative will contribute to improving administrative services, supporting the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, and strengthening the faculty’s institutional quality in a sustainable manner.
