Rozanna Mulyani was born in Binjai on June 9, 1960. She is a lecturer in Linguistics in the Undergraduate Program in Malay Literature at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). Commonly known as Rozanna, she specializes in the fields of linguistics and Malay culture. She earned her Doctorate in Linguistics from Universitas Sumatera Utara.

Her research and publications focus on linguistic phenomena and Malay culture. Her most recent research examines the mapping of the Malay language in Batu Bara Regency using a dialectological approach. The study explores the distribution and development of the Malay language in the region, highlighting its variation and usage, particularly across different age groups, and contributing to broader linguistic perspectives on language distribution and change.

Rozanna served as Head of the Undergraduate Program in Malay Literature at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, USU, from 2017 to 2021. In addition to her administrative roles, she also served as Head of the Center of Excellence for Science and Technology (PUI) on Local Wisdom Songket at USU. After completing her leadership appointments, she continues to serve as Head of the Quality Assurance Group (GKM) for the Malay Literature Study Program while actively teaching in both the Malay Literature and Linguistics programs.
