Nursukma Suri, born in Medan on December 25, 1963, is a lecturer in the Arabic Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatra Utara. She currently serves as Chair of USU's Arabic Literature Study Program (2021-2026). She obtained a Doctorate in Linguistics from Universitas Sumatera Utara in 2017 with studies in Anthropolinguistics. In 2020, she took a short course in Egypt. Research and publications have been carried out regarding cultural and linguistic studies in the people of Medan City and Makkah City, Medina, Saudi Arabia. The research phenomenon obtained in the people of Mecca and Medina uses Indonesian vocabulary found in instructions in public facilities, banners and conversations in shops. Apart from teaching, she is active in Islamic community organizations and contributes in the form of outreach, lectures, social service and training.
