Lestari Dara Cinta Utami Ginting, commonly known by the nickname "Dara," is the daughter of Hendrik Ginting, S.E., and Yusseri Rizky Halida Lubis. She was born in Medan on 3 April 1990 and is a lecturer in the Undergraduate History Study Program. She earned her master's degree in History from Universitas Sumatera Utara in 2018. Her master's thesis, entitled "The Relationship Between the State and Religion: An Early Study of the Pemena Belief in Karo, North Sumatra, 1966–1979," was supervised by Prof. Dr. Budi Agustono, M.S. Previously, Dara completed her bachelor's degree in History at Universitas Sumatera Utara in 2013. Her undergraduate thesis, entitled "Sugondo Kartoprodjo: Educator and Freedom Fighter in North Sumatra," was supervised by Dr. Suprayitno, M.Hum.
