Dr. Dwi Widayati, M. Hum. born in Magelang on May 14, 1965. She graduated from the doctoral program with a dissertation entitled "Convergence and Divergence of Malay Dialects in Asahan". She is active in teaching and researching in the field of linguistics and has been given additional duties as Head of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatra Utara for the 2021-2026 perios. Some of her research results are also published in international journals including, "The Sustainability of Eco-Lexicons in Socio Ecological Spatial Dynamics of the Rice Fields' Community in Central Tapanuli, Indonesia" which was published in Theory and Practice in Language Studies, Vol. 12, no. 8, pp. 1659-1663, August 2022; Diversity of Culinary Ecolexicon of Main Cuisine in Malay Communities on the East Coast of North Sumatra published in ARBITRER JOURNAL - Vol. 6 No. 2 (2019) ISSN: 2339-1162 (Print); 2550-1011 (Online) SINTA 2 and Marine Ecolexicon of Noun-Verb of the Coast Community in Pesisir Barus, Central Tapanuli which is also published in ARBITRER JOURNAL - Vol. 8 No. 1 (2021) ISSN: 2339-1162 (Print); 2550-1011 (Online); SINTA 2 Accreditation; and several others. She is active in scientific meetings, research and community service activities as a form of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Apart from that, she has also published a book entitled "Comparative Historical Linguistic Studies" published by Mahara Publishing (2018).
