Subject : Graduation Ceremony of USU Graduates Period II Academic Year 2023/2024

To:

    within Universitas Sumatera Utara
    Medan

In relation to the implementation of the graduation ceremony for Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) graduates for Period II Academic Year 2023/2024, in order to ensure smooth execution, the following matters are hereby informed:

1. Graduation Registration:

  1. Registration of graduation participants at the Faculty/Postgraduate School level is no later than January 6, 2024;

  2. Submission of graduation documents from the Faculty/Postgraduate School to the Admissions and Academic Events Section, Academic Bureau, 2nd Floor, BPU USU, is no later than January 10, 2024, at 15.00 WIB;

  3. The USU Graduation Ceremony for Period II Academic Year 2023/2024 will be held on February 6, 2024;

  4. Heads of Academic Subdivisions at Faculties and the Postgraduate School are requested to process student graduation registration in coordination with the Study Program/Department;

  5. Registration of prospective graduates is conducted only at the Faculty/Postgraduate School level. There is no registration at the USU Academic Bureau;

  6. The biodata of prospective graduates should be rechecked, particularly: place and date of birth, photo, religion, alumni number, origin school/university, thesis/dissertation title, names of Promoter and Co-Promoter. The column should not contain the phrase not filled in;

  7. Graduation fees are determined based on Rector’s Decree USU No. 1465/UN5.1.R/SK/SPB/2019 dated April 18, 2019, as follows:
    1.7.1. Students under the non-UKT scheme are subject to a fee of Rp.600,000 (Six hundred thousand rupiah) per person for all study levels.
    1.7.2. Students whose education is financed through the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) scheme are exempted from graduation fees.

2. Final Examination

To avoid delays in the submission of graduation documents to the Admissions and Academic Events Section at the Academic Bureau of USU, final examinations should be scheduled properly. Students who have passed at the end of the graduation registration period but have not completed the required documents for graduation are advised to participate in the graduation of the following period.
